RED BLUFF NATURE CAMP
Experience a panoramic ocean vista, showcasing abundant marine life, luminous turquoise water, surfing, fishing, diving, stargazing, spectacular sunsets or just enjoy the serenity of nature all around you.
The road into Red Bluff is a track and is graded several times per year. The track does become rough and sandy in some parts therefore ensure that you assess the road and the condition before you start driving to the camp.
Camping
Red Bluff offer unpowered caravan and camping sites which are scattered throughout The Bluff. There are long drop toilets located next to every camp spot however if you have your own chemical toilet we encourage you bring it.
Bookings are not required for camping however if you want to visit this spectacular part of the coast in June/July/August we encourage you to call prior to check availability.
Accommodation
For those who aren't keen on camping, Red Bluff have 2 Retreats, 3 Bungalows and shacks available.
*Please note BYO all linen including sheets, towels, pillows ect. Pets are not permitted in any retreat or bungalows!*
Retreat - Safari Tent
- The two retreats located South of the Homestead are equipped with a kitchenette, full-sized fridge/freezer, microwave, gas cooker, 24HR solar power and an ensuite.
Bungalow
- The bungalows overlook the Indian ocean with a magnificent view of The Bluff. Each equipped with a full size fridge/ freezer , shower / toilet with 24 hour solar power and rain water tank.
- The 3 bungalows share a communal camp kitchen which is complete with all your cooking requirements.
- There is a fire pit located behind the safari tents for those who want to cook or even relax by the fire. Firewood can be purchased from the office for $30.00 per 20kg bag, as there is to be no collection of firewood on the station.
Shacks (Humpies)
- Rustic, unique and simple is how you would describe the shacks at Red Bluff. The walls and ceilings are made from palm fronds, canvas, and cement/ hard deck floors.
- Water, cooking equipment and utensils ARE NOT supplied by the camp, so please ensure you come prepared with everything you need to enjoy your time at Red Bluff.

Do I need to book for camping?
NO. We do not take bookings for camping. If you are wanting to visit between May - September, we recommend you call prior to coming out to check if we have availability.
Powered Camp Sites?
At Red Bluff, we do NOT have powered sites available.
What is the road condition?
The road from the Coral Coast Highway to the Blowholes (~60km) is sealed. From this point, the road is unsealed. It is ~10km to the Quobba Homestead and a further ~60km to Red Bluff. This road is managed by the Shire of Carnarvon and is normally graded once a year. The road condition varies greatly throughout the year!
Can we bring dogs?
We are more than happy to have your dogs stay with us, however they are only allowed in the Northern end of the campground. For the safety of your pets (1080 baits are used on the station) and the surrounding wild life, dog MUST remain within your sight and on a lead at all times.
Can we have a fire?
Yes! Fires are allowed (subject to fire restrictions) however you cannot collect wood on the station. You are welcome to bring your own wood or purchase some (~25kg bags) at the office. Please use the fire pits provided around the campsite.
When is the office open to sign in?
The office is generally open from 10am to 4pm. All visitors to Red Bluff are required to sign in immediately on arrival and make payment for your complete stay. Eftpos and cash available.
Is there a waste dump point?
Yes! There is a dump point at the Red Bluff campground.
What do I need to bring?
Ensure you have enough fuel, water, food etc for the length of your stay. The closest fuel station/grocery shops/services are located in Carnarvon (125km South).

This is a remote destination, and you will be required to travel on unsealed roads. Weather events may impact road conditions.
